The Covid pandemic brought into focus the need to accelerate the development and roll out of digital healthcare tools and technologies to citizens. It also forced us to look again at the challenges of digital exclusion and marginalisation. Using the experiences of Scottish Government’s ‘Connecting Scotland’ programme – which has brought almost 60,000 households online since the start of the pandemic - we will explore the opportunities and challenges of ensuring no one is left behind in the digital healthcare revolution.
