ASSESS DHT Call for Digital Health Technology Developers

Call for Testing the Usability of the ASSESS-DHT Process and Tools for Assessing DHTs is now launched for the EU and EU-Horizon associated countries.

Key Highlights for DHT Developers

Opportunity to test one or more framework elements, including:

  • The full set of DHT evidence requirements (including lifecycle assessment): Members’ DHTs will be classified using a taxonomic and lifecycle-based approach, followed by tailored HTA evidence requests. They will compile the requested evidence and provide detailed feedback to refine the framework.
  • The Evidence Gaps Generation Tool: Helps identify gaps in their evidence base before formal HTA processes. Testing includes engaging with the online tool interface, reviewing generated reports, and providing feedback.
  • VALID-AI guidelines for AI-based Clinical Decision Support Systems: Engage with the guidelines, review generated reports, and provide feedback.
  • A Guidance List for Human Factors for AI: Contribute to the refinement of guidance on human factors and usability engineering for AI-enabled DHTs.

What is in it for me?

  • Tailored HTA Experience: Participate in a non-binding, exploratory HTA exercise specific to their DHT, with tailored evidence requests.
  • Early Access: Be among the first to test and shape the framework, ensuring it is practical and meets the needs of DHT developers.
  • Financial Support: Participants are eligible for financial compensation, with up to €17,000 available for testing all framework elements.

The full call document and application template are available via this link.

Please note: This exercise is exploratory and focused solely on framework improvement. It does not result in formal assessments or binding outputs. All information shared by participants will remain confidential and will be processed solely for the purposes of usability testing, in line with EU data protection legislation.
