Virtual workshop
Virtual workshop focus
European Hospitals and integrated healthcare organisations are still striving to improve or change their EHR system in order to support efficiently the administrative and clinical internal workflows. Meanwhile, the implementation of clinical decision support systems (which rely on algorithms) require permanent access to a huge quantity of normalised data.
How do hospitals and integrated healthcare organisations (which invest heavily in knowledge creation and research) succeed to nurture and dimension an eco-system fit to purpose? And what are strategies pursued to configure the health data space necessary to fulfil those goals?
On 17 June 16:00-17:30 CET, EHTEL organises a virtual workshop entitled “Building the data-driven hospital and facing the challenges: from EHRs to data ecosystems” to learn how data-intensive healthcare organisations are developing information systems strategies to capture data from different sources and exploit it massively for improving healthcare and research. We will reflect on the organisational, technical and human challenges encountered by these health organisations and how they open up their information systems to new sources of data and knowledge.
