The NWE-Chance is now promoting collaboration opportunities around hospitalisation@home through its newly launched, dedicated Innovation Hub platform.
Introducing NWE-Chance’s Innovation Hub
NWE-Chance first introduced its Innovation Hub platform during one of the satellite sessions of Scotland’s DigiFest 2021 conference on 9 December 2021.
The scene was set by three presentations on experiences of implementing the hospitalisation@home model of care by speakers from the USA, England, and Scotland.
Alan Lillie, from DHI Scotland, introduced the Innovation Hub platform, by explaining what it sets out to do.

Outlining the Innovation Hub goals
The Innovation Hub’s goal is to help build momentum in hospitalisation@home, by bringing together the learnings and key assets of the NWE-Chance project. It will enable progress to be made in attracting other stakeholders that are interested in hospitalisation@home to work on its challenges.
Key objective: The hub is being built is to develop collaborative opportunities internationally for industry, hospitals, and academics who can share ideas dynamically, and advance the shift taking place in care in the community.
Key functionalities: The hub will enable collaborators to have secure access to information, analytics, and insights on hospitalisation@home. It will offer facilities to exchange ideas and form partnerships with other leading hospitals and small and medium-sized enterprises. There will also be a curated index of innovation labs: it will bring together the best of innovation being carried out in labs, in particular in the field of heart failure but also other medical conditions.
Looking to the future
The ambition in building this cluster of innovation labs is to transfer innovation across both geographical and medical boundaries. This activity will expand the existing knowledge base of available case studies that are backed up by concrete evidence.
NWE-Chance aspires to make its Digital Innovation Hub the “go-to place” for hospitalisation@home.
