There is movement ahead on Catalonia’s training programmes, TIC Salut Social – EHTEL member – has kept us informed.
Catalonia plans to advance training activities linked to a project on the Social Innovation Services for Care (SISCU) for people who are dependent. The initiative aims to strengthen the digital skills and professional training of people working in the fields of care, social services, and person-centred care. To move this work forward, TIC Salut Social Foundation and the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC) – have signed a collaboration agreement.

The agreement forms part of one of eight SISCU action lines, promoted by the Department of Social Rights and Inclusion of the Government of Catalonia. It takes place in the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), and is funded by the European Next Generation EU funds.
SISCU training programmes are committed to developing educational programmes for professionals and caregivers that will incorporate advanced content, simulation, and digital tools.
What’s the educational plan and training content?
Planned actions include mapping the care training system in Catalonia, analysing the digital skills required in the sector, and implementing a training programme with several pilot projects focused on innovation in care.
TIC Salut Social Foundation will support the definition of educational content related to digital transformation, innovation and technology applied to social and healthcare services.
UVic-UCC will lead the academic and methodological design of the training activities and the production of teaching materials. The initiative will incorporate innovative learning methodologies, and include audiovisual production, practical case simulations, and digital educational resources.
