The nine finalists and three winners of the first Silver Economy (SEED) awards were announced on the 3rd of May 2018 in Brussels.
The Silver Economy awards aim to recognize and reward innovative information and communication technology (ICT) solutions to support and improve the quality of life of older persons. Public authorities' first prize winners were the Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark (Denmark) for their Generic Telemedicine Platform. Other major prize winners came from Portugal and Israel.
EHTEL is very close to the theme of innovative ICT services for active and healthy ageing. In fact, EHTEL is an active member of the European Innovation Partnership in Active and Healthy Ageing, and its many members focus on this ambition on the regional and local levels.
EHTEL and its Innovation Initiative is proud to be visiting the Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark (Denmark) on 12/13 September 2018. The visitors will be introduced to Southern Denmark's innovation ideas and to the region's Innovation Lab. This will be an amazing opportunity for EHTEL members to study the innovations that are implemented in the region and to interact with professionals from the Innovation Lab and the Odense University Hospital.
