LIFEBOT’s project coordinator, Artur Serrano, of NTNU, Norway, has completed the very first out of the 138 planned staff exchanges.
Among the results of his secondment was a design for Elmo, an emotional robot – a robot that can respond to human beings’ emotions by expressing emotions of its own.
Can Elmo help in fighting loneliness in the future?
Can social robots help – as co-workers, companions, or avatars – with health and care-related activities, by improving treatment, well-being, coaching, rehabilitation, and self-care?
EHTEL plans to follow and catalyse developments in the social robots field. At its upcoming events, it will include news about social robots and examine their developments through the next decade.
